Who it's for

Learners who have completed a pathway and want to be trusted on a live gallery in one named role.

Entry requirements

  • ▸Completed at least one TV Studio Path pathway
  • ▸60 verified logbook hours across mixed production roles
  • ▸An approved portfolio of evidence index

What you must be able to do

  • ▸Operate the discipline's equipment unsupervised through a full live production
  • ▸Diagnose and recover from the five most common faults in that discipline
  • ▸Work to a rundown and take direction cleanly on talkback
  • ▸Hand over a position mid-show without a visible or audible artefact
  • ▸Document your setup so another operator can reproduce it

Evidence you submit

  • ▸120 verified hours, at least 80 in the chosen discipline
  • ▸Three complete productions with a signed camera card, plot or rundown
  • ▸One fault-recovery write-up with the signal path affected
  • ▸A recorded practical assessment scored against the published rubric

How you're assessed

  • ▸Practical assessment in the studio or virtual lab, mentor scored
  • ▸Advanced quiz set for the discipline, adaptive to your lab progress
  • ▸Portfolio review against the discipline rubric
